What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on staying organized, talking to people all day, and keeping a lot of moving pieces on track. Success here means excelling in four key areas:

Staying Organized – You keep track of quotes, orders, and follow-ups without anything slipping through the cracks. Success in this role starts with the ability to juggle details without losing track of a single one.

Communicating Clearly – You'll talk to customers on the phone and in person all day, plus coordinate with our sales and install teams. Your communication skills help set expectations and keep everyone informed.

Caring About the Customer Experience – You'll be the first point of contact for walk-ins and phone calls. Your ability to listen, understand, and respond thoughtfully is key.

Learning Fast – No appliance industry experience required, but you'll need to pick up our product lineup, pricing, and sales system quickly. We'll train you — you bring the curiosity.

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, you'll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support

  • Handle routine quoting, order entry, and follow-up in our sales system (HUB), so our sales reps can focus on complex, high-touch deals.
  • Confirm order details, emails, and phone numbers directly with customers.
  • Learn our full stock-menu product lineup and pricing.
Customer Coordination

  • Handle walk-in customers on the showroom floor and screen incoming phone calls.
  • Talk with customers about our products — which brands we stand behind, which we steer away from, and why.
  • Ensure every customer is informed, prepared, and confident in our service.
Operations Support

  • Help manage scheduling across multiple install routes.
  • Keep sales tickets organized and moving — nothing falls through the cracks.
Job Requirements:

  • Good customer service experience preferred — retail, hospitality, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize on the fly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication — clear, respectful, and professional.
  • Confident using technology and comfortable learning a sales software system (HUB), with training provided.
  • No appliance industry experience required.
  • Monday–Friday availability, 8 AM – 5 PM.

Why Should you Consider a Career in Appliance Repair?

High Demand
Appliance repair isn’t slowing down — it’s growing. With Maryland’s population aging in place, families relying on their homes more than ever, and appliances becoming more complex, skilled technicians are in constant demand. Landers has been the trusted name for 43 years, which means our techs stay busy with real, steady work year-round.
Job Security
This is a trade that can’t be outsourced, automated, or shipped off to another country. When something breaks in a home, a local professional has to fix it. Landers technicians are backed by thousands of loyal customers, a strong reputation, and a company built to last. Careers here are stable, reliable, and built for the long run.
Upward Mobility
We invest heavily in training — not just technical skills, but professional development, leadership, and long-term growth. Whether you start in the office, operations, installation, or as an apprentice, there is a clear path forward. Many of our leaders began in entry-level roles. If you work hard and meet our standards, you advance.
Competitive Compensation
Landers pays for performance. Technicians earn strong wages, bonuses, and benefits; support staff grow into higher-paying roles as they master their craft; and every position comes with clear expectations and real rewards. Our compensation is intentionally structured to help you build a great life, not burn yourself out earning it.
